Hey gang,

I spent last night at OH7XM's fabulous place in Espoo, west of downtown
Helsinki.  Arno cooked both moose and reindeer with new potatoes and gravy.

Afterward we enjoyed a long sauna and retired to his shack to listen  
to a bit of contest activity.  Arno is in the radio sales and repair  
business and has an
ample supply of gear in the ham shack.  The HF rigs currently on hand are a
heavily modified FT-1000MP MkV and an FT-2000 with the micro-mu tuning units.
I spun the FT-2000 through several bands on both SSB and CW.  About  
the only gripe I could come up with is that the DSP filtering had a  
sort of ringing effect when cranked down below 200 Hz.

The OH7XM antenna farm consists of a 17m tower topped by a 10-30 MHz  
LP array and a 42m tower with 3 full-sized elements on 40m and a 4  
element SteppIR (with a total of 7 elements on 6m in addition to the  
HF bands).
