It was a lot of fun as usual, but had some strange conditions here.
It seems that my stacked loops were hearing better than the beam at times.
So, I used two rigs. My JST245 had the loops and my Mark V with the
FTV1000 xverter had the 6 element beam. When one would be hearing
signals the other rig would be hearing nothing. The loops worked
XE3N, XE1KK, and XE2WWW power was 150 Watts pep.
The beam worked best at 350 mile range.
We had a power outage Saturday evening and friends visiting so I
missed Saturday night. I also suffered a bad fall and Karen had to
help me up and suggested I get to bed and rest. I was one sore and
stiff dude Sunday morning, but I managed to go to church and almost
fell there. So I will seek medical help. My legs just give way and I
go down for the count.
I never heard any of the WVDXA gang!
DX worked:
HI3
XE
CO
VE
VP9
XE3N in Cancun was my best DX
I got several new GRIDS.
