Hey Clark,
Actually if I was a "good candidate" for the prez job, I would be delegating this kind of activity to some wannabe flunky like me.??I think that is what presidents really do.? And that is why you are the MAN who will be getting my vote again in 2010 when the?next elections are held!!??

Oh and you can bet?I am glad to hear that I ain't the only one getting "fuzzy" and NOT just around the "edges"?either. It's in the middle, on the sides, in the back, etc.??So am I hearing you say I shouldn't expect it to?get any better when I reach the hex-ade?? Oooooooh, not good!?

Have fun at the H.S. reunion... and when dancing be careful doing the James Brown split, or doing the Shingaling. And maybe "Gatoring" is something you'd definitely want to forego for?this year's reunion!?

Take care es 73,

Hal,

???? I've been so busy I never managed to get back to your first email.? First, let me thank you for taking the initiative on this and "gettin' 'er done!"? That is a quality that will make you a good candidate for the job of WVDXA President at our next election!

???? Like Dave, I like No. 7 (with option "B" for 6-M DXCC.)?

???? Are you making a "bulk" order of the 12 badges or does everyone just need to order their own?

???? Also, will everyone's badge be the same or are they "individual" ones depending on which you like best?

???? OK, just re-read the email and I "think" I understand that everyone can get their own "individual" design.? Sorry for the confusion.? This stuff happens when you get older and I just passed 6 decades on the planet so as the personal odometer turned over to a new first digit, I find things are getting a bit fuzzy around the edges!

???? Can't manage the WVQP this year as Evelyn has me scheduled for a H.S. Reunion.? But, I'll try to dabble a bit in the VHF contest.? Managed to throw up a 6-M Inverted-V last night and made a couple of QSO's with Florida so it does work.? I hope everyone has a fine weekend on the radio regardless of which contest you enter.

Hey Guys,
I think I have about everything I need to pass along to those of you that have expressed an interest in getting the new WVDXA badges.? So far, I heard fom the following as wanting a badge:

W8JA
W8GG
K4OM
WA8WV
W8WEJ
W8IW
W8OP
W8XF
K8DBM
KC8UHE
W8HC
WA8VPN

If I have missed anyone, no problem... just email your order to Gene.? I have committed us to 12 orders based on everyone I've heard from so far and this provides a really nice price break.? Our cost, including shipping for one of the badges and based on the type of connection you want is:

Pin - $7
Clip - $7
Magnet - $9

I have updated the web page http://www.w8hc.com/wvdxa/wvdxabadges.htm?? to now include additional changes Gene has made to the text.? He has changed the drop shadow effect and uses an outline to give a sharper text image.? I really like what he has done!? There are 8 options for the badges.... #1 and #2 do not have the WV image but only the Great Circle Map centered on WV.?

I have also included 5 options for the DXCC pin image to choose from.? So when ordering a badge you will need to tell Gene the badge number and letter for the DXCC pin image such as "6A" so he will know what badge to print.? Again, if you want another style of pin image or want the text on the pin to read something different, just let him know.? I'm sure he will email you a proof copy to approve before he does a final printing of your badge. And if anyone needs me to assist with the artwork, I will be glad to do that.?

Hope that covers everything... I look forward to seeing the new badges soon.? For me, I'm torn between badge 6 and 8, so I think I will order both.

PS- GL to all who are doing the WVQP and VHF Contests this w/e!
