Phil,

Different broods in various areas emerge in different years and there 
are even varieties of Cicadas which might emerge in different years in 
the same area.  Your area must be different than the one up here just 
what--maybe sixty five or seventy miles airline from you?

I've seen a few Cedar Waxwings in the area but have yet to hear or see a 
locust.
