Today seemed to be the day that WVDXA members chose to swell the ranks of
the Logbook of the World users. Tom, AB8RL, completed his process, uploaded
his entire AB8RL logbook and started sorting through all the QSL's he had
accumulated on LoTW. And, Dwight, KC8WDT, submitted his initial application
and is awaiting his postcard to confirm his acceptance.
If anyone who is interested in using LoTW has not yet taken the plunge, here
is a marvelous "Cookbook" set of instructions that will walk you through the
process:
http://www.dxlabsuite.com/dxlabwiki/SettingUpLotW
Just follow along these instructions and you will soon be collecting QSL's
without the need for purchasing stamps! Make sure you follow ALL the
instructions EXACTLY. Do not "skip around" but do things in the order
listed and it works every time.
BTW, Tim, KC8UHE, showed me an LoTW QSL he received recently for a QSO with
an Isle of Man station. The QSO took place at 1308 GMT on July 6 and the
QSL was confirmed on LoTW at 1404 GMT on the same date. Less than ONE HOUR
to get the confirmation! Amazing!
