Am I pumped? YOU BET!!!! I had heard a JA earlier but didn't know it untill it was to late.......Let me explain.....I was tuning around the band and every once in a while I would jump back to 50115 where there was aJA spotted....Well i was tuning and jumped back to 50.115 to hear a station call QRZ, very strong, I thought that can'tb be a JA way to strong ...so decided not to dump my call in....Well after a little standby the station starts a cq dx for what seemed an eternity, then sent his call three times...you guessed it JA7QVI, if I remember it right......After the 3rd call he was gone not a peep. Man I was at an all low...I had it but it got away.........BUT NOW fOR THE REST OF THE STORY...I never gave up . I was tuning and heard JR2HCB call someone state side...it was K4QI in FM06, NC......WEll the K$ didn't give up his freq.....so I sat there a minute trying to decide which way to turn the knob.....up the band or down the band...........I
decided UP THE BAND! 1.5khz......Started calling CQ DX JA called for a while and decided I had went the wrong way.....Was about to give up when BINGO there he was nice and loud and a no doubt QSO.......And yousay YOUR pumped.....I just wonder what this band is going to do in the next few years......The totals might be astronomical.......Greg, W8GG
BTW: my hill top location is available to anyone that wants to give it a try......I sure could use that CN8 and EA9 and ZB# thats been running around......Greg, W8GG
