[WVDXA] 6 M Signals on the Mobile

Greg, thanks for the tip. I have never tried it on 6 before. It has the extra long whip to resonate on 160 M, and has a problem getting up to 10M. However the thing loaded great on 6 when I tried it. Don't know if it will get out, but it does load up.

Thanks for your help.

CHARLIE,
on most screwdriver antennas there is a sweet spot for six meters, somewhere between 10 and 15 meters.....Think it makes a 3/4 wave antenna on six......you might try yours......my screwdriver works on six that way........Greg, W8GG 73,GREG LEE, W8GG 15290 HANNAN TRACE ROAD CROWN CITY, OHIO 45623 PHONE: 740-256-1181

All the discussion about 6 meters provoked me to go listen on the mobile about 1215. My mobile screwdriver ant has a whip section that is too long for 6M but could likely use the tuner and get it to load. Didn't try it, only listened. I could hear C6AFP/B about 579 and pretty solid. Heard another beacon but did not try very hard to get the call, it was in and out. Heard K8OOK (loud) calling someone on CW at about 50.103. Heard a WB9 who was about 559 work the station on 103. This could get interesting! 73, Charlie N8RR
