Guys,
Jerry and got set up with our station abt 1-hr ago in one of the stone buildings here on top of Masada overlooking the Dead Sea.  We are at an elevation of about 1200 feet on this table top plateau that served as the last holdout of the Jewish rebellion until Masada "fell" by their own hand in a mass suicide rather than die by the Roman sword in 73AD.  

I operated the first hour beginning at 1300 and Jerry is now on 14.026.6  But problem is that it is raining now, a very rare phenomenon in an area that receives .5 inches of rain per year.  So the rain is creating static on my telescopic vertical  now  abt S-7.  Ruben 4Z5FI has a 80/40 dipole that we will put up if the rain subsides.  We will be here til abt 1900Z.
Yesterday from Jerusalem I wrked Jeff N8II for my only stateside Q so far..
