Alan,
The DX Dinner is an "unofficial" part of the Hamvention. That is, it
is sponsored by the Southwest Ohio DX Association and not the Hamvention
Committee. Here is the web site for the SWODXA of which our own Phil,
W8UV, is a member:
http://www.swodxa.com/
There is a link there to the Daily DX's review of last year's
event. Plus, links to the Prize List and other items.
Since the SWODXA club meeting was tonight, I expect we will see an
announcement of this year's DX Dinner in the next week or so. Last year
the tickets were $36 each. I expect they will be the same or nearly so
this year.
The DX Dinner is held at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in downtown Dayton on
Friday night. It is probably the greatest single gathering of Who's Who in
DX'ing that currently exists.
If you need any further info, just ask here on the reflector.
Clark, W8TN
