[WVDXA] Meeting

Hal,

Gee, the Inverted "L" is already pretty much a "Stealth" antenna. I
could get some blue wire and it would just look like part of the sky. As
for the radial system, I'm using a single elevated radial. The antenna is
just like a dipole with one leg parallel to the ground and about 5 or 6
feet above the ground and the other leg runs vertical for about 55 feet
then goes horizontal.

But, I wouldn't want to get you in any trouble. Maybe next trip I
can get you a balloon or a kite and you can use it to raise a vertical and
folks will just think you are playing around. Oh, well. Thanks
anyway. Maybe I'll manage to hear some other 4X on Top Band sometime.

As for my power on Top Band, if I need it and it is a "weak" station,
I run the amp at 800-1500 watts. But, just tonight I worked PJ5NA on CW
and NP4A on SSB with 175 watts both on the first call.

Again, have a safe and pleasant trip and we'll see you at the next
meeting when you return from your world-hopping.

Clark, W8TN
