Greg,

The
center
conductor
goes
to
the
part
of
the
antenna
that
first
runs
vertical
and
then
turns
horizontal.
That
is,
the
Inverted-L
portion.
You
can
look
at
my
Blog
(just
scroll
down
to
"The
Further
Antenna
Adventures
of
W8TN"):

http://w8tn.blogspot.com/

Or,
this
link
will
take
you
to
just
that
particular
post:

http://w8tn.blogspot.com/2007/11/further-antenna-adventures-of-w8tn.html

There
is
a
diagram
there
showing
how
the
coax
is
connected
to
the
antenna.
The
shield
of
the
coax
gets
connected
either
to
the
ground
radial
field
or
to
the
elevated
radials
and
the
center
conductor
gets
connected
to
the
portion
of
the
antenna
that
is
up
in
the
air.
Reading
that
post
may
clarify
the
situation
even
more
for
you.

Hope
that
clarifies
it
for
you.

BTW,
the
dimensions
shown
in
my
Blog
article
did
NOT
work
for
me.
I
had
to
shorten
both
the
elevated
radial
and
the
vertical
"L"
portion
to
approximately
140-feet.
I
think
that
is
still
too
long
as
I
believe
I
constructed
Tim,
KC8UHE's
Inverted-L
to
about
126-feet.
My
friend
KØCS
says
that
131-feet
is
the
magic
number
for
him.
So,
I'd
probably
suggest
you
start
at
about
140-feet
and
be
ready
to
"trim
to
length."

If
you
still
have
questions,
let
me
know.
