Bring on that sporadic E propagation. It usually starts up in earnest
during May. I just realized that May is only three days away, so I am today
spring loading the shack in the six meters position.

Heads-Up to Phil, Greg, Pete, Garry, Dave, Garie, Tim, Hal, Rick, and all
other WVDXA 6-M Operators.

Bernie, W3UR, is reporting in The Daily DX that you should mark your
calendars for June 28 to July 6 as a time to sit in front of that 6-M rig. Ed,
WØSD, and Arliss, W7XU, have applied for a TO5 callsign to operate from FJ, St.
Barthelemy. They have picked that date because it is the best time of year
for Es openings. They plan on having a long boom yagi and high power and will
operate split from 50.103 MHz on both CW and SSB.

They will be in Grid Square FK87nv and ask that you NOT send your grid in
order for them to maximize their QSO's. Also, please check their online log
search which will be updated nightly and if your call appears there DO NOT
continue to call in order that others may have a chance to work them. The log
search will be available after May 15th at the following URL:

<_http://www.w0sd.com/stbart/bart.htm_ (http://www.w0sd.com/stbart/bart.htm) >

They expect to be able to work modest-sized stations in the 100-watt or less
category so everyone should have a good chance at this New One. QSL via
W7XU.

Anyone think we need a call-out list for this one? I know I'll have my butt
glued to my chair with my ears tuned to that frequency. OH, that means I
have just 2 months to get my 6-M beam assembled and up on the tower! Better
get moving.
