Charlie:
It amounts to just a rotateable dipole at 56'. It's one element of a five
element Mosley Beam (TA-34XL-WARC) that has four active elements on 10, 15 and
20, plus this trapped dipole element for 12 and 17. But if I hear them, I
can work them with the gain I get from being able to broadside it to the DX.
Rig is a FT-1000MP, Mark V, hooked up to an old SB-221 linear.
The YK was really strong for only about 30-40 minutes starting at about 1800
yesterday.
Hope you get him if you need him.

Gary, I could not hear them well enough to try them from my mobile
yesterday. TS480SAT plus Tarheel screwdriver is the rig. Same result on 40
yesterday. They need to be a bit louder to be workable from the mobile.
What is your antenna on 17 meters?
Congrats on the QSO and QSL.

For the first time (for me at least) a DX-pedition QSL'd me within a few
hours of a QSO. I worked YK9G for a new band/entity combination on 17 meters
last night and found a QSL via LOTW when I turned the computer on this morning.
Wow! Those Brits are not only fast at sending CW, they get the
confirmations out before my amplifier cools down.
