  Subject: [WVDXA] New WVDXA Resource

  DX'ers,

I am pleased to announce that the WVDXA now has a NEW resource in the hunt for that elusive DX. This weekend I created the WVDXA BLOG (that's short for WebLog.) A Blog looks like a regular webpage but it acts more like a newsletter. The advantage to this online "newsletter" is that it does not take special software to create the web page. It can be updated very quickly by many different people.

When you look at the page you will see "Posts" on the left side which are a lot like emails. As a new Post arrives on the Blog, it appears at the top and shoves the older ones down the page. On the right side are more permanent pieces of information. Lots of Internet links are there that you can access just by clicking on them.

I hope this will be a page that all WVDXA members bookmark in their web browser and check regularly for new information. It has an advantage over email as photos can be included and the older posts are "archived" and can be easily accessed right from the Blog.

Take a look at it and see what you think. Any and all suggestions are welcome. And, if you would like to share any of your tips, tricks, hints, or kinks for anything, like how you find that rare DX, when is the best time to listen, a new piece of gear you heard about, how to make that 80-M antenna sing, a new web site you found, - in short - ANYTHING that will help others work DX, you can become an "Author" and post directly to the Blog or just send your tips to one of the Blog Authors and they will post it for you.

       Here is the URL:

  http://wvdxa.blogspot.com/

Save it in your "Favorites" or "Bookmark" it so you can check back often. And, let me know what you think.
