HUNTINGTON — The Tri-State Amateur Radio Association, Inc. is sponsoring
examinations for people who want to be granted new or upgraded Amateur Radio
“Ham” License from the Federal Communications Commission at 9 a.m. Saturday,
Oct. 13, at the Museum of Radio and Technology in Huntington.

The museum is located at 1640 Florence Ave. in Huntington’s Harveytown area.
All examination elements will be offered for all amateur Radio License
classes. A fee of $14 will be charged per test.

ADVERTISEMENT

Though preregistration is not necessary, all applicants must complete FCC
Form NCVEC 605, which will be available at the exam session, and must bring
required documents with them.

Two forms of accepted identification, including one picture ID, must be
presented. Also, applicants must bring the original and a copy of any ham
radio license currently held and any Certificate of Successful Completion of
Examination which they claim for credit from a previous exam.
