A crew with a truck crane repaired my antenna today. The problem was
a thrust bearing. While the crew was here they replaced my old 6m
beam that is mounted on a pole.
The crew told me it would not be necessary to get a ground crew. So
that is why I did not ask for help.
But don't worry, I plan on having a radial party this fall. DX
Engineering says to put radials on top of ground in the fall and by
spring the grass will grow over the wire and is installed without
cutting sod. However, you must staple it to hold it flat, oh did I
tell you they sell staples.
I need to bury the rotor cable, but that will have to wait until the
ground gets a little soft. It is hard as a brick now.
