Congratulations on a fabulous  achievement.

No, it isn't any faster to get the card field checked.   Just saves you the 
worry of it possibly getting lost in the mail.  The ARRL  takes them in the 
order they arrive and there's a spot on their web site showing  who sent their 
cards in on what date.  It also tells what date of arrival  the ARRL is 
processing now.
 
Actually, if you plan to send the card in via REGISTERED MAIL,  that does 
slow down delivery by a week or more usually.  In that case, a  field check would 
save you that postal mailing delay.
