Garry,

It seems like it just takes the right antenna and a healthy helping of
luck to do well on 160-M. I'm pumped over how well the thing played last
weekend. I only hope the wind we got tonight did not pull it down with the
ARRL 160-M contest this coming weekend. Maybe I can snag that Slovenia you
worked as he could not hear me this weekend.

I just looked over my log and found I actually worked *THIRTY* NEW
Countries this weekend (and I really only had 21 confirmed before this
weekend, one of which is a Deleted Country.) All I was really trying to do
this weekend was find new countries to work. So far, I've gotten five of
them confirmed on LoTW including *TWO* new ones - England and Canada !!!

Here is the list of what I worked this weekend:

*Bold/Underlined* is a *NEW* Country/Zone

And, for Hal, not a problem to chuckle at my mis-adventures. I wrote
that piece with total honesty to try and educate and motivate others to give
something like this a shot (but to not make the mistakes I did, hi!)

Thanks to K8MN and W8WEJ for some antenna tips. I should have talked
to you guys earlier! When the antenna does come down and I have to fix it,
I'll put your advice to good use. That's what's so great about the WVDXA,
there is always someone with an answer to your question and with some
encouragement for your efforts.

Thanks guys - I'm glad you enjoyed reading about what an old man can
accomplish if he puts his mind to it and manages to not fall off the tower.
