Guys,
FYI, I got the following message from Tom K8CX earlier today. He has
added a second page to his Al Hix web tribute with some photos I sent
him along some additional QSLs that Al had as personal callsigns.
Maybe someone can provide some info to Tom on those rack mount amps
that Al had out in the hallway entrance to to his shack.
Mac, would it me possible ditch the "Hello Radio" link on the WVDXA
website and replace it with the K8CX Tribute to Albert Hix, W8AH. That
needs to be at the top of our links IMHO.
Tnx es 73,
Hal W8HC

Hi Tom,
Glad you got this "stuff" OK. Yes, the photos are from Al's shack in
Charleston. He built his own amps for each band. I don't know what
they were actually. Maybe Dave WA8WV knows more of the details. At
some point, Al took all of his rack mount amps out of service and had
the commercial amps like Alpha 77, 87As, etc.

Hi Hal,
I did get the box of very interesting logs, QSLs, etc, that you sent
me. I have been looking through all the logs. Al was quite a DXer even
back in the 30s. I plan to put up the QSLs you sent that are not up.
Are those photos with the walls of equipment in Al's home? If not, do
you know anything about them? That is some very interesting stuff.
Thanks for sending it.

Tom...K8CX...
