I was 20, newly married to Nancy, working 60 hours a week and dirt poor. I
had a homebrew 8 watt CW rig, a beat up Hallicrafters S-20R receiver, an 80
meter dipole and no time to use any of that junk. I was dreaming of a used
Globe Scout. DX to me then was working Texas.

Garry, W8OI

I was just a kid in '58.
I had never even heard of ham radio till '62.
News travels slow in Logan.

Pete K4OM (antenna pointed at scaffold reef and waiting to see if they find
it)
