Greg,
I'm pretty sure that Dave, W8IW, started this because when I saw him
at the Charleston hamfest today I told him that if he wanted to operate
from the new Putnam County Superstation, he would have to help build
it. That is, of course, a reference to my new ham shack and antenna farm.
Tim, KC8UHE, came by this week and helped me site the spot for the
tower and guy anchors. Dang, guess I could have used an Ohio surveyor for
that part of the job!
I then ordered and received the anchor rods from R&L
Electronics. Now I just need my contractor to dig a starter hole and we
can get to digging out the rest of the base and guy points and then pour
some concrete.
My goal is to have the station operational on 40-M through 10-M in
time for the BS7 operation. I may have to sit the equipment on the floor
and run the cables in though the window but I hope to be able to push some
watts by the time BS7 is on the air.
