Hey don't feel like the Lone Ranger Phil. I don't even go where the big dawgs go. No low band antennas here at least for phone. I think inverted Ls are the way to go on 160. Maybe some day I can find enough time to put one in the air too HiHi.
View full sizeHigh Power Assisted Category. Maybe someday I will be proficient with WriteLog if I just used it enough.
Sounds like we can talk "Antennas" at Dayton. It'll be here B4 we know it!
Take Care... Off to work YUK!

Worked 160 in the ARRL DX test. My signal at best was very poor and
had to wait my turn, last, to work the DX. The antenna was a
shortened dipole it received very well but radiated very poorly. I
found that I could load my tribander and that worked somewhat better.
I did work 22 countries and 5 of those were new countries--8P, V2,
PJ5, HI, and SM.
My best DX was KH7.
Hope everyone did better.
Oh yes, I had a great time.
Anyone want to help me build a better 160 antenna?? Or want to offer ideas??
