Esteemed club members:
 
It has come to my attention from several sources that I won the election  for 
Vice President of the WVDXA.  I guess I must have developed some  temporary 
amnesia from the accident because for the life of me I can't remember  running. 
 Whoever was my campaign manager, please get in touch so I can  thank you.
 
And thanks to all those who voted for me.
 
Was it a spirited campaign?  Was the margin pretty wide?  
 
Under the circumstances I expect the courtesy of not being held accountable  
for any promises I may have made.  And if you send me on any club paid  
junkets or DXpeditions, I affirm that I will try to behave and bring credit to  this 
fine organization to show you my gratitude.
