  Subject: [WVDXA] YXØLIX QSL Received

  Guys,

       Today I received my QSL from YXØLIX for the April, 2006, DX'pedition. That gives me Aves Island confirmed on 9-bands and 3 modes (SSB, CW, & RTTY.) WOW! I guess I can mark that one off now (except for 6-M, darn it!)

       For those who still need Aves Island, YVØ, there is a DX'pedition coming up in just over two weeks. Here is the announcement from the Ohio/Penn DX Bulletin:

  YW0, AVES ISLAND (Update). The 4M5DX Group recently announced that a team
  of 15 experienced operators lead by Alex, YV5SSB, will be active as YW0DX
  from Aves Island (NA-020) beginning the second week of February 2007, for
  10 days. Conrad, IT9DAA, the team's QSL Manager, reports that the last
  agreement with the Venezuelan Military Navy was to board for Aves Island
  February 7th (with operations beginning February 8th). Their departure day
  is still undetermined (the date could vary, between February 15-18th).
  The team has now put a survey (poll) on their Web site for band and mode
  needs. To participate, go to:

  <http://yw0dx.4m5dx.org/poll.html>

  QSL via IT9DAA. They are looking for sponsors/donors. More details
  are available on their Web page at:
