Thanks, the reason I asked was in the fall of 1997 I submitted a vanity  
application.
 
And believe it or not, my FIRST choice was W8GG.  It turned out that  the 
call was not available.  So I got W8OP my 2nd choice.  Boy, I am  glad to get a 
short call.  My previous call was WB8BMX, had it since 1976  and before that 
WN8BMX.
