Garry,
If you sautee them with snail darters, it really brings out the flavor.  Hummingbird liver is a great side dish too.  Problem is it just takes a lot of 'em to make a mess.
 
Man, all you bird watchers....  Who woulda thunk?

Nancy and I are AMATEUR bird watchers.  We know the most common birds in this area and entertain them at our feeders.  We printed out the info on the Harris Sparrow and will be watching.
 
By the way how do they taste, like Spotted Owl?
