[WVDXA] Hello and Happy New Year

Gentlemen:

My name is John Millett, and my callsign is K8JM.  I am relocating to 
the Ravenswood, WV area from Michigan.  I have been reading the 
posts on the reflector for a while now, and I thought it was time 
to "introduce myself".  I too am a DX'er and contester, and reading 
the posts reminds me of how much I miss DXing, contesting, and 
operating in general.  My home in Michigan is for sale, and I have 
dismamtled my tower and antennas.  I hope to purchase a home in 
WV suitable for DXing and contesting.  I hope to meet you all in the 
coming months, and share DX and contest related info with all of you.
I am off the air save for my 2/440 HT that I brought down with me in 
my initial move.  Kerchunking the Ravenswood repeater doesn't quite 
get it for me.  I enjoy CW , and CW contesting in particular.
I hosted several CW multi-op efforts in the SSCW, ARRL-DX CW, 
CQWW-DX CW and CQWW-WPX CW over the years. I have also been 
invited to "guest-op" at the K8CC and K8XXX (N8CC) contest 
stations over the years.  I hope to establish a contest station here in 
WV eventually, and would like to invite all of you over to operate.
I wish to thank Dave, WA8WV for introducing me to WVDXA.  I 
haven't had the opportunity to call you yet Dave, as I am still getting 
my wife and "family" settled into our "temporary" home in 
Ravenswood.  I hope my home in Michigan sells quickly, as I am 
excited to set up a station here in WV., and get back on the air.
