Dave,

      CONGRATULATIONS!  Perseverance always pays off.  And looks like you 
made your QSO just before the solar flare hits.

      I agree that you might want to try something other than a crank-up 
after your experiences.  I don't know of any Rohn 25 pieces around here but 
I'll keep an eye out for you.
