WVDXA Dave Comstock, W8HYX in Hospital

Folks,
I received a phone call yesterday from Pam Comstock, daughter of Dave, W8HYX and she told me that Dave has been in Putnam General Hospital and required emergency surgery to remove an obstruction in his small intestine.  He entered the hospital on Monday, July 31 and I think Pam said they did the surgery on Wednesday of that week.  He had been in ICU until yesterday.  I called him this afternoon and he sounds very weak.  Dave says he will not be attending Jackson's Mill this year, perhaps the first one he has ever missed.  He says his doctor may release him this weekend but he is going to be spending lot of time in bed. 
 
Please keep Dave in your thoughts and prayers and if you get a chance, you might want to drop him a card.  He is the only ham in WV that doesn't do e-mail.
